Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce
The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is a membership association for local businesses. Chamber members represent virtually all industries, fields and professions located throughout Muskingum County. Member firms range from very small independent companies to national corporations. More than 650 local businesses are currently members of the Chamber.
The Chamber was founded in 1905 by business people who recognized the need to work together as a team to promote and serve local companies, build the economy, and improve the community. Chamber members appreciate the strength and benefits of collective action. They understand that they can achieve greater progress and economic growth in the community by working together as a unified force.
The Chamber provides services to its members that help promote their products and services and reduce operating costs. The Chamber also works through the Muskingum Growth Partnership to support community economic development efforts. Muskingum County Business Incubator
Business incubators are designed to nurture start up businesses and increase their likelihood of success and growth by providing essential services, counseling and flexible space. The Muskingum County Business Incubator (MCBI) has expanded to a larger facility in south Zanesville to encompass the growing demand of entrepreneurs who are wanting to grow their business. The incubator has become a regional service provider to small businesses through collaborations with TechGROWTH Ohio and the Small Business Development Center. MCBI offers assistance to businesses of all sizes and in all phases of economic development. MCBI residential clients benefit from affordable space, shared office services, counseling, idea sharing and mutual support from other tenants. Ohio Department of Development

TechGROWTH Ohio connects early-stage, technologically-innovative companies with valuable tools for growth and sources of capital. The program focuses on four technology industries: digital interactive media, bio-sciences, bio-agriculture and advanced energy. High-growth potential companies with a new product, technology or process in other industries are also encouraged to apply. The mission of TechGROWTH Ohio is to significantly increase revenue growth and capital investments in technology-based businesses within the 19-county region of southeast Ohio. Funded by the Third Frontier Initiative – a $1.6 billion Ohio Department of Development project – it is a part of the Entrepreneurial Signature Program.

Mid East Building Department
The Mid East Building Department, located in downtown Zanesville, is a one-stop shop for commercial and industrial building plan approvals and inspections in a five-county area. Fully certified by the State of Ohio to interpret and enforce the Ohio Building Code, the Mid East Building Department can save companies time and effort by eliminating trips to distant state offices. Ohio Mid East Government Association
The Ohio Mid East Government Association (OMEGA) is a council of governments that serves as a conduit for state and federal grant funding. Zanesville-Muskingum County Convention & Visitors Bureau
The Zanesville-Muskingum County Convention & Visitors Bureau promotes our community to visitors and tourists. Key attractions include The Wilds, a 10,000-acre wildlife preserve in southeastern Muskingum County, the Longaberger Homestead and factory tour, the National Road-Zane Grey Museum, the Lorena Sternwheeler, Alan Cottrill Gallery, numerous potteries featuring handmade ceramics, boating on the Muskingum River, Dillon Lake, Blue Rock State Forest, seven golf courses, Tri-Valley Wildlife Area, and more. Muskingum County Convention Facilities Authority
The MCCFA (Muskingum County Convention Facilities Authority) owns, operates, and manages the Muskingum County Welcome Center and other developing properties. It is the intent of the MCCFA Board of Directors that the primary purpose of The Welcome Center is: "to support and encourage economic growth of the community by attracting and serving tourists, for-profit organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and private groups." Zanesville-Muskingum County is located within the Utica Shale area and in close proximity to the Marcellus Shale area of Ohio.
