The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is a membership association for local businesses.  Chamber members represent virtually all industries, fields and professions located throughout Muskingum County.  Member firms range from very small independent companies to national corporations.  More than 650 local businesses are currently members of the Chamber.

The Chamber was founded in 1905 by business people who recognized the need to work together as a team to promote and serve local companies, build the economy, and improve the community. Chamber members appreciate the strength and benefits of collective action. They understand that they can achieve greater progress and economic growth in the community by working together as a unified force.

The Chamber provides services to its members that help promote their products and services and reduce operating costs.  The Chamber also works through the Muskingum Growth Partnership (MGP) to support community economic development efforts.  Go to the Zanesville Chamber of Commerce website for information about Chamber of Commerce services and programs.

Spark Five|Sixty

Local businesses create local jobs.  Spark 560’s mission is to help develop and grow businesses in Southeast Ohio whose new products, services, and opportunities make our region’s economy flourish.

Spark 560, formerly the Muskingum County Business Incubator, was formed in 2004 by business owners, government officials, and educators partnering to help grow and sustain economic activity in Southeast Ohio.  Our partnerships create an ecosystem of entrepreneurship, connecting both existing businesses and startup businesses with the tools, skills, networks, and resources they need to survive and thrive.

Spark 560 is located on the Zane State College Campus next to our partner, the IDEA Lab, a high tech maker space where inventors and entrepreneurs develop prototypes and build products.

Every great idea, great business, great product or service begins with a Spark.  But most new ventures fail in the first 5 years, or 60 months.  Spark 560 works with entrepreneurs through that time to bring their spark to life. Click here to learn more about Spark 560.
