Fyda Freightliner Opening New Facility in Muskingum County

April 26, 2016 – Fyda Freightliner will be holding their ribbon cutting at their new Muskingum County facility on Friday April 29, 2016 and is located just to the east of Zanesville. Fyda will offer truck sales, service, wholesale and distribution at its new facility.  The business has been family owned and operated since 1954 and has Ohio locations in Columbus, Youngstown, Cincinnati, and Pennsylvania locations in Pittsburgh and Barkeyville.  The company plans to create 60 new full time positions at their 46,000 square foot facility and offer twenty-one service bays to its customers.  Fyda was named Truck Dealer of the Year in 2005 by Business Magazine and also Freightliner’s #1 Dealer Nationwide in 2007 by J.D. Power and Associates.


Muskingum County Welcomes Ridge Corporation

February 28, 2014 – Ridge Corporation purchased the 120,000 square feet former Longaberger Woodcraft building and is currently setting up manufacturing operations there. The company makes fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic semi-trailer skirts and wall panels. Ridge will retain is headquarters and manufacturing facility in Etna Township , Licking County. The new facility near Frazeysburg will accommodate the rapid growth of the company. JobsOhio, the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority, Ohio Mean Jobs – Muskingum County, and the Muskingum County Business Incubator have all provided incentives or assistance with worker rectruitment.




Fanatics Inc. Chooses Muskinum County

August 27, 2012 – Fanatics, Inc., a leading online retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise, gained approval for state and local incentives today for the location of a distribution center in Muskingum County, Ohio. Fanatics, based in Jacksonville, Florida, is in the final stages of a transaction for the purchase of a half-million-square-feet distribution center located on the site of The Longaberger Company’s manufacturing and distribution campus between Dresden and Frazeysburg, Ohio. The sale is expected to be finalized in late September or early October.  The company expects to create 300 year-round jobs when fully operational and many seasonal jobs to accommodate holiday shopping. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a Job Creation Tax Credit today, and the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority approved a maintenance fee agreement that will offset Fanatic’s expenses for infrastructure and facility maintenance.  The incentives carry a combined estimated value of more than $900,000 over the term of the agreements.



Halliburton Chooses Zanesville-Muskingum County

February 3, 2012 – The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority entered into an agreement to sell approximately 178-acres in the EastPointe Business Park to Halliburton Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: HAL). Houston-based Halliburton intends to develop an operations hub on the site to serve customers in the Utica Shale play. Halliburton Energy Services, Inc. has committed to creating 300 new jobs in three years. They expect to have their first building under roof during the third quarter of this year. Halliburton will be the third Fortune 500 Company to locate in the EastPointe Business Park.
